The role of Team Lead involves leading a team and reporting to the Group Lead administratively. As a Team Lead, you are expected to have a background in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering with a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Essential work experience in this field ranges from 8 to 10 years, while the ideal age limit is between 30 to 34 years. Your primary responsibility as a Team Lead will be to conduct comprehensive ergonomics performance assessments for new or facelift models, focusing on aspects such as occupant visibility, ingress/egress, reach, and cabin roominess. You will also need to consider controls placement inside the vehicle according to ergonomic principles and automotive guidelines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams comprising engineering, styling, design, and program management is crucial. You will be responsible for proposing and implementing optimal ergonomic solutions for vehicle packaging. Additionally, creating rapid digital and physical mock-ups and conducting usability surveys will be part of your duties. Benchmarking analysis of competitor vehicles to gain insights into packaging and ergonomics will be required. You will also need to identify and refine processes for evaluating ergonomics in coordination with the ergonomics research team. Key competencies for this role include being fast, flexible, a team player, and creative. Familiarity with other manufacturers" layout and packaging strategies is essential. Demonstrated experience in vehicle occupant packaging, ergonomics, and engineering design is a must. Proficiency in CAD software such as UG NX and vehicle packaging software like RAMSIS is expected. A solid understanding of automotive engineering guidelines and standards, such as SAE and AIS, is necessary. You should also be able to comprehend the requirements and preferences of vehicle customers with diverse anthropometry and backgrounds. In terms of technical skills, knowledge of emerging automobile technologies, parts, functions, and processes is beneficial. Experience with Virtual/Augmented Reality prototyping is an advantage. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills are also important. Specific software skills required for this role include UGNX, RAMSIS, MS Excel, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.,
