About Ninja Mandi Team

The Ninja Mandi team is one of the large and diverse teams that is trying to help large traders (Avg. Monthly GMV of 40 lacs) operating across the Mandis find the right quality supply at the right price at the right time. We source produce from both domestic sellers, such as farmers and source trades and also exporters from other countries. Ninjamandi customers enjoy easy credit, consistent supply and compelling prices.

This is a team that is a mix of Business, Execution, Category, Product, and Analytics and brings a mix of speed and innovation to solve tough problem statements.

Responsibilities

• Identify new and next business opportunities within the fresh produce space for the Ninjamandi business - Conduct a pilot and innovate business models, and prove POC
• Mini CEO for the category with both growth and P&L responsibility
• Own the category growth Strategy, Execution and team for an Agri produce category (e.g., Imported Fruits, Indian Apples, Pomegranate, Non-perishables such as onion/potato, Dry fruits, etc)
• Drive user growth across the value chain & transaction volume growth
• Own the problem statement, work with cross-functional teams (product, finance, etc) to drive solutioning and implementation of new solutions and iterate faster
• Build and develop teams
• Build an annual operation plan, set long-term and short-term goals, and drive alignment

Why should you not apply to this role?

• This role involves extensive travel (at least 10 to 15 days a month) to both source regions and demand markets. If frequent travel and meeting stakeholders regularly is not your thing, we wouldn’t recommend this role
• This is not a consulting role. You are expected to be an operator - owning both the strategy and execution of ideas and delivering outcomes.

• MBA from Premier institutes
• 8 to 10 years of Business experience
• FMCG, Consulting & Startup experience
• Hands-on leader - inherent enthusiasm to spend time in the market
• Fast growth track record in the last 6 to 8 years
