Job Description

About the Role:

Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain
secure network architectures
across on-premises and cloud environments.
Configure and manage
firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances
to protect network infrastructure.
Monitor network traffic and logs for
security threats, anomalies, and intrusions
.
Perform
vulnerability assessments
, penetration testing, and risk analysis for network systems.
Develop, implement, and maintain
network security policies, standards, and procedures
.
Respond to
network security incidents
, including detection, analysis, containment, and remediation.
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to implement
secure network solutions
.
Evaluate and recommend
network security tools and technologies
to strengthen defenses.

Preferred Qualifications;

Certifications such as
CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+
.
Experience with
next-generation firewalls, web proxies, DDoS protection, and network encryption
.
Knowledge of
automation and scripting
(Python, Bash, PowerShell) for network security tasks.
Exposure to
incident response, threat intelligence, and SOC operations
.
Familiarity with
compliance standards
relevant to the organizations industry.
