Network Security Engineer

Position Summary

Level 1 Engineer

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform health monitoring and status checks of managed security devices
• Handle and close tickets (P1 to P4) in alignment with SLAs
• Manage lifecycle tasks of security devices under scope
• Adhere strictly to SOPs created by Level 2/3 team members
• Follow incident, change, and escalation management processes
• Coordinate with OEMs for ticket escalation and resolution
• Prepare weekly and monthly device management reports for SOC leadership
• Maintain clear documentation and provide updates during shift handovers

Basic Qualifications

• Education

  : BE in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• Experience

  : Minimum of 2 years in Device/Network/Security administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in rotational 24x7 shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience with at least

  one

  of the following:

• Next-Gen Firewalls/UTMs

  : Palo Alto (preferred), Juniper (preferred), Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA/FTD

• NAC Solutions

  : Cisco ISE (preferred), Aruba ClearPass
• Understanding of

  networking concepts

  such as RADIUS, TACACS, MAB, and Guest Flow
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management)
• Experience working in an enterprise or SOC/NOC environment
• Familiarity with ticketing tools and reporting systems
