Description
A network security engineer is required to join the Pune Deployment Team, responsible for the deployment and planning of the Banks network infrastructure in the UK, Middle-East, Africa, and India. The team is responsible for the delivery and deployment of network/security projects and requests to enhance the client's infrastructure to meet current and future business demands. You should possess a good level of Cisco Routing & Switching and hold a strong CCNA or CCNP certification or equivalent experience. Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and Firewall Migration experience, FortiAnalyzer, FortiConverter, FortiManager is essential. You should have the ability to handle numerous separate projects concurrently and be a very organized individual. Additionally, you must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Analyzing, reviewing, and understanding network topologies is a key aspect of the role. You will be required to coordinate multiple projects, change management, and governance efficiently, working both independently and as a member of a team. A good understanding of networking principles, documentation skills using the MS Office suite and Visio, and good customer-facing skills are necessary. This role is suitable for a Security Engineer who has at least 3 years as a Senior Project Engineer in a professional environment. Desired skills include experience with Cisco ACI, Fortinet NSE4 Certification or above, experience with EVPN, Checkpoint certification, Fortinet certification, and Load Balancing Experience (F5). The role may involve planning, managing, and deploying technology changes to support DC services, deploying LAN infrastructure to support end-user services requirements, including patching schedules for facilities to cable network equipment, and creating diagrams for Network Operations and Inventory Management. You will need to create implementation plans for RFCs to a high level of detail, correctly document pre and post checks for change verification purposes, understand and document back out plans, and identify points of no return. You will be responsible for supporting the stability and uptime of essential services by planning changes with a documented best approach mindset, identifying where changes can be completed with zero downtime to hosted services, planning and implementing changes with a cost-effective resource strategy, and identifying, understanding, and documenting change risks and mitigation tactics. Documenting the network estate for Operation Support and to support change planning, maintaining the infrastructure database, and completing network diagrams to a high standard will also be part of your responsibilities. Peer review and validation of technical deployment plans, providing constructive feedback to peers, and maintaining high standards of detail and quality are expected.,
