Network Operations Engineer

As a Network Operations Engineer for a large technology company, your role will be crucial in maintaining the uptime of network services in datacenter and office infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include handling day-to-day operations, responding to network-related tickets promptly, implementing and maintaining core networking protocols, participating in on-call rotations, maintaining VPN and secure remote access solutions, ensuring adherence to SOPs, and conducting network troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: - Handle day-to-day operations and respond to network-related tickets promptly and effectively. - Implement and maintain core networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPC, HSRP, VRRP, STP, VLAN, etc. - Participate in on-call rotations and promptly respond to network alerts and incidents. - Maintain VPN and secure remote access solutions to ensure datacenter accessibility and security. - Ensure adherence to SOPs for day-to-day operations set by the Network Architect. - Conduct network troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly. - Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues. - Follow the change management process to perform network configuration changes and troubleshooting. Qualifications Required: - 5-8 years of experience as a Network Operations Engineer with a focus on core networking protocols. - Experience with routers and switches is a must. - Experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) or Arista is highly preferred. - Knowledge of modern data center solutions. - Proven experience in network troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPC, HSRP, VRRP, STP, VLAN, firewalls, etc. - Familiarity with network security principles and experience in setting up VPN and secure remote access solutions is preferred. - Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are preferred. - Bachelor's Degree.
