Job Description

1. Linux / Ubuntu Administration

Manage and maintain Ubuntu-based servers in production environments.
Perform system updates, patching, package installations, log management, and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot system-level issues related to networking, storage, and services.

2. AWS Cloud Management

Use
AWS CLI
for provisioning, monitoring, and managing AWS resources.
Configure and manage
EC2 instances
, with strong focus on
AWS Spot Services
for cost optimization.
Set up and maintain
IAM users, roles, policies
, and ensure least-privilege access.
Manage
Amazon S3
buckets, lifecycle policies, replication, permissions, and data transfers.

3. Automation & Scripting

Develop and maintain
Ubuntu Bash scripts
for task automation, deployments, file processing, and system monitoring.
Write scripts to automate S3 uploads/downloads, backups, EC2 operations, and log cleaning.
Implement cron jobs and automation pipelines for regular system tasks.

4. Database & SQL

Write and optimize
SQL queries
for data extraction, reporting, and validation.
Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/others) to perform CRUD operations, indexing, and performance tuning.

5. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Diagnose performance issues in EC2, networking, storage, and applications.
Use AWS CloudWatch metrics, logs, and alarms for proactive monitoring.
Ensure high availability and reliability of systems running on AWS.
