Network Engineer (F5, Load Balancer)

Role & responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration of F5 Hardware and configure Tenants for LTM
• Installation of Virtual Appliance based F5 LTM on VM-WARE, Redhat Open shift
• Assist in configuration & troubleshooting existing iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies.
• Work on redirection and load balancing logic (new VIP/pool creation).
• Implement approved configuration changes in coordination with change management processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to traffic delays, routing anomalies, and degraded performance.
• Analyze system logs, session tables and traffic flows to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with senior team members during major outages and assist in service restoration efforts.
• Integrate F5 telemetry with existing monitoring tools.
• Maintain and update dashboards for system health, CPU/memory usage, SSL offload stats, and traffic trends.
• Monitor alerts and perform corrective actions as needed.
• Provide restoration support during hardware replacements or software crashes.
• Assist in rebuilding configuration from backup to match the last operational state.
• Document all configuration changes, incident resolutions, and restoration actions.
• Support the generation of monthly performance and incident reports for review.

Preferred candidate profile

• Basic knowledge of F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, SSL offloading).
• Understanding of iRules, HTTP/HTTPS traffic flow, and common load balancing algorithms. Exposure to network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.).
• Familiarity with system monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Splunk, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret configuration files and logs.
• Experience with REST APIs for F5.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation ability.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
