Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design Implementation:

   • Assist in the design, installation, and configuration of network systems (LAN/WAN) including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
   • Ensure proper network integration, configuration, and connectivity across multiple locations, including VPN and remote access.
   • Help in the deployment of network infrastructure for new office setups, including wiring, hardware installation, and testing.

2. Network Monitoring Troubleshooting:

   • Monitor the health and performance of the network using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
   • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain high performance.
   • Respond to network incidents and requests, troubleshooting both hardware and software-related issues affecting network performance.

3. Network Security:

   • Implement and manage security protocols such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
   • Collaborate with the security team to ensure the network infrastructure is protected against internal and external threats.
   • Perform regular network security assessments, vulnerability scans, and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

4. Configuration Optimization:

   • Configure, optimize, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and load balancers.
   • Optimize network performance by adjusting routing protocols, monitoring bandwidth usage, and ensuring low latency.
   • Assist in the configuration and tuning of Quality of Service (QoS) settings to ensure critical applications receive adequate bandwidth.
