Network Developer 4

You will be responsible for supporting the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment, specifically focusing on the development and support of network fabric and systems. Your role will involve a deep understanding of networking at the protocol level, combined with programming skills to facilitate the automation necessary for operating a production environment efficiently. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, connecting tens of thousands of network devices and servers through a mix of dedicated network infrastructure and CLOS networks. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and capacity planning of services and ecosystems. You will take ownership of critical projects and services, serving as a leader within the team and a recognized subject matter expert for other teams. Improving operational tooling, deployment processes, and supporting hiring and mentoring efforts will be key aspects of your role. Collaboration across teams, driving improvements on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level objectives (SLOs), and addressing operational challenges will be part of your daily tasks. You will also play a vital role in enhancing operational maturity across the director's organization, managing technology migrations, organizing incident management procedures, leading projects, and collaborating on cross-team initiatives. As a specialized escalation point for outage events, you will conduct root cause analysis, lead post-event actions, and resolve complex system issues. Developing new metrics and dashboards to optimize operations, providing operational assessments for incoming systems, advising on integration options, and organizing technical milestones will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will coordinate tasks, advise leadership, and collaborate with other teams within the same organization. Acting as a technical lead on moderately complex projects, you will manage project requirements, specifications, and documentation, serve as a Tier 2 escalation point for network events, develop automation scripts for complex tasks, and lead network automation projects. Furthermore, you will offer technical guidance to staff, coach junior members, and collaborate with vendor engineering and account managers to address business and operational issues.
