Network and server Administrator

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of computer hardware and software systems. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various computer components. You will provide essential technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently. Additionally, you will be involved in setting up and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and Sophos firewalls. Monitoring network performance to identify and troubleshoot potential issues will be part of your routine tasks. Your contributions to server maintenance and administration activities will be vital for ensuring optimal system performance. Documenting network and server configurations accurately and implementing security measures to safeguard data will be key aspects of your role. Staying updated with the latest networking and server technologies will enable you to contribute effectively to the organization's IT infrastructure. Your ability to provide clear and concise reports and updates will facilitate effective communication within the team. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, along with basic knowledge of networking concepts. Familiarity with Sophos firewall concepts and experience with IAM (Identity and Access Management) are essential.
