Roles and Responsibilities:

Network Implementation & Administration

• Configure and implement Cisco routing and switching technologies (ASR, ISR, CAT, Nexus).
• Manage and maintain LAN, VLAN, VTP, STP, Port Channels, uplinks, and switches.
• Perform protocol configuration including OSPF, BGP, HSRP, and VRRP.
• Support SD-WAN implementations using technologies such as Viptela, Riverbed, CloudGenix, Meraki, FortiGate, and Aruba.
• Configure and manage Zscaler Proxy and Zscaler Private Access.
• Conduct new network installations, device migrations, and replacements in coordination with FT and TAC.

Firewall & Security Operations

• Configure FortiGate firewalls (Zones, ACLs, NAT, VPNs - IPSEC/SSL/DMVPN, HA, Cluster, Context).
• Support and maintain firewall policies and remote access platforms.
• Ensure adherence to documented security policies and processes.
• Perform ongoing administration and patching of network security platforms.
• Plan and execute platform/software upgrades and support integration with SIEM tools.

Load Balancing & Wireless

• Configure and manage F5 LTM load balancers including IRules, SSL offloading, context, VIPs, and persistency.
• Renew and upgrade client and SSL certificates.
• Administer Cisco Meraki wireless networks - access points, controllers, SSIDs, bandwidth management.

Cloud & Optimization

• Configure and support network elements in public cloud (Azure, AWS - basic knowledge).
• Manage WAN optimizers, proxies, and Akamai CDN & WAF.

Monitoring & Support

• Perform network performance monitoring, predictive analytics, and root cause analysis.
• Provide proactive support to limit outages and optimize network performance.
• Handle incident identification, alert correlation, resolution, and service management (incident/change/problem).
• Maintain SOPs, technical and service overview documents up to date.

Additional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with third parties for planned/unplanned outages.
• Recommend improvements to network segmentation and management approaches.
• Coordinate with platform vendors for Level-4 support as needed.

Experience Requirement:

• 7-10 years of experience in network operations, firewall administration, and network security in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco routing/switching, Zscaler, F5 LTM, SD-WAN solutions, and FortiGate firewall administration.
• Experience with VPNs (IPSec, SSL), Wireshark or packet capture tools, and troubleshooting network/security issues.
• Working knowledge of public cloud (AWS, Azure) network setups.
• Experience with Akamai CDN, WAF, and integration with SIEM solutions is an added advantage.
• Proven capability to manage incidents, implement changes, and document procedures and configurations accurately.
