Network Administrator

Role & responsibilities

Accountable for the operational availability and aggressive assurance of the multi-platformed LOB in the Financial Vertical.
•Develop and optimise E2E tools, frameworks and processes to support and diagnose highly performant platforms driving real time exchange trading engines •Handle internal escalations and ensure timely resolution on any tools impacting incidents. •Develop Customer Forums and other feedback mechanisms which garner customer and market trends used to drive our platform developments. •Architect, deploy, and manage hosting and client networking infrastructure. •Configure and manage Cisco, Palo Alto, A-10, Melanox, and Nokia networking hardware. •Configure and manage Firewall security devices. •Management Reporting and review of Security logs. •To ensure compliancy with all BT SEC standards in support of ISO Certifications. •Review and update router access-lists and FW rule base. •Participate in on call rotation for off-hour network escalations. •Manage and maintain network documentation and diagrams. •Create support procedures for tier 1 staff. •Manage hosting client relationships including installations, requests, inquires, and changes. •R & D different types of software or hardware for hosting security and networking needs. •Review Change Requests for network security risks. •Ongoing management and performance tuning of network enterprise tools such as OpManager, HP OpenView, Cisco VPN, and TACACS, ICE. •Manage and implement network and security audits. •Support of, and problem determination during, client installations. •Proficient in vulnerability patching and OS upgrade procedures. •Support site resiliency and recovery solutions. •Ongoing capacity planning and management. •Automating daily support and administration tasks. •Provide Level 1 proactive monitoring services on a shift rotation as needed. •Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Ability to apply and direct technology innovation, automation, and support technologists to reduce MTTR of BTR incidents
• Able to manage a complete end to end customer experience, demonstrating mastery in the customers technology life cycle and business strategy. • Bachelors Degree and 5+ yrs of related work experience. • Cisco Certified, CCNA, CCNP. (CSS a Plus) • Experience with Load balancing architectures (Cisco) • Experience with Security management: Firewalls (Nokia & Cisco) • Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, RIPv2, networking protocols • Production Support Experience in major financial Networking environment
