Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator with expertise in Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) and FortiGate Firewalls to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring security, and providing technical support for network-related issues. This role requires strong knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in network administration, with

  hands-on experience in Cisco APIC and FortiGate Firewalls.

• Certifications (Preferred): Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE4 or higher.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of

  Cisco ACI, APIC configuration, and network automation.

• Expertise in configuring and

  managing FortiGate Firewalls, including VPN, IPS, and web filtering.

• Proficiency in

  network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).

• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking (Azure, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent).
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for network automation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job responsibilities

Administer and maintain Cisco APIC for managing Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) environments.

Configure, monitor, and optimize FortiGate Firewalls, including security policies, VPN configurations, and threat management.

Ensure the availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and wireless networks.

Conduct regular network performance monitoring, analysis, capacity planning and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Collaborate with IT teams to support business applications and infrastructure projects.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
