Role: .NET Developer (API Layer)

Job Summary:

• We are implementing a data strategy to enhance the way it collects, manages and uses data to achieve its business goals.
• You will be joining the data strategy team to work on the back end of our self-service data platform.
• Working in an Agile environment you will contribute to the development of a technological solution that will empower users to access and consume data.
• Your role will cover all aspects of the development lifecycle in addition to a wide range of tasks.
• Within the team, you will work as software developer developing a wide range of .Net and Azure based solutions automating feeds from 3rd party systems, monitoring critical services and writing APIs to support the line of business.
• You will be part of a close-knit development team, which supports flexible working.

Role:

• Design, Develop and maintain back-end services and REST APIs.
• Extending and developing new ASP. Net Web APIs, using 3rd party connectors.
• Working with other back-end and front-end developers to integrate REST APIs for end-to-end functionality.
• Writing SQL and TSQL queries against relational databases
• Working with Azure DevOps release/pipelines, CI/CD
• Configuring SQL mirroring and other data synchronization techniques.
• Implementing unit tests (C#) developing test frameworks and associated automated test cases.

Requirement Skills:

• An eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset and a keen interest in data-intense domains
• Performance monitoring of services to identify areas of improvement
• Designing and developing C# solutions.
• Strong understanding of API development and microservices.
• Knowledge of and experience with a range of Azure services.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, primarily with relational data storage.
• Unit and integration testing for APIs
• Version control and deployments Azure Devops
• Knowledge of SQL mirroring replication and CDC.
• Working to support core hours, 06:30-15:30 GMT.
• B2 level of English proficiency

Desirable skills (But not mandatory)

• Interest in current and emerging technologies or trends
• Self-driven, committed to learning and continued professional development
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Azure Key Vault, API Management, Event Grid and Application Insights
• Snowflake platform knowledge (integration/querying).
• Working knowledge of GraphQL
