Job Description

.NET Console Application Lead

Key Responsibilities

Lead design and development of
.NET Console Applications
Architect robust, high-performance batch/console solutions
Guide and mentor developers; conduct code reviews
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
Optimize application performance and reliability
Manage deployments, versioning, and release processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Business)
Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis
Participate in estimation, planning, and technical decision-making

Technical Skills

Mandatory

Strong expertise in
C# and .NET (.NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET 6+)
Hands-on experience with
Console Applications
Solid understanding of
OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
Experience with
multithreading, async/await, and task-based programming
Strong knowledge of
exception handling and logging frameworks
(Serilog, NLog, log4net)
Database experience:
SQL Server / Oracle
(ADO.NET, Dapper, Entity Framework)
File handling, batch processing, and scheduling
Unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)

Good to Have

Experience with
Windows Services
or background workers
CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Cloud exposure (Azure / AWS)
Performance tuning and memory optimization
Experience with REST APIs (consuming or integrating)

Leadership & Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Ability to lead by example and work hands-on
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Education

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
