Job Description

Technical Processes

Experience with fabrication processes like cutting, bending, rolling, and potentially welding or painting. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is often necessary for gauge design.

Tooling & Design

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) for jig, fixture, and gauge design. Understanding of standard hand tools and consumables used in a manufacturing environment.

Documentation & Quality

Experience in creating detailed process flow diagrams and manufacturing work instructions (MWI). Familiarity with quality standards and documentation (e.g., ISO 9001) and tools like PFMEA or control plans is a plus.

Product Development

Experience supporting new product development (NPD) cycles and participating in design reviews.

Attention to Detail:

Crucial for creating accurate documentation and designs.

Problem-Solving:

Necessary for identifying and resolving process bottlenecks or design issues.

Communication:

Essential for coordinating with different departments (design, production, quality).
