Job Description

As an NDT Engineer specializing in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) for robotic integration, you will be responsible for collaborating with software and control system teams to seamlessly integrate UT & PAUT into robotic NDT systems. Your primary focus will be on sensor selection, ultrasonic parameter optimization, calibration, and data interpretation to ensure optimal inspection performance. Your key responsibilities will include optimizing probe selection, wedge design, and beam focusing for high-resolution imaging, defining scanning techniques to detect various defect types, analyzing UT & PAUT signals for accurate defect detection, and implementing advanced techniques such as Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) and Full Matrix Capture (FMC) for enhanced detection capabilities. You will also be involved in addressing electromagnetic interference, developing procedures for coupling enhancement, evaluating attenuation and beam divergence, and working with AI-based defect recognition systems for automated data processing. Additionally, you will be responsible for selecting, integrating, and optimizing ultrasonic transducers and phased array probes for robotic inspection systems, defining NDT scanning parameters, ensuring coordination with control system and software teams, and validating UT/PAUT performance on robotic platforms. You will also interpret PAUT data, assist in processing data for defect characterization, validate inspection results, and generate technical reports in compliance with NDT standards. Your role will involve close collaboration with software and control system teams to define scan path strategies, ensure precise probe movement, and integrate AI-driven defect recognition for automated data interpretation. You will supervise robotic UT/PAUT system trials in real-world inspection environments, support on-site troubleshooting, and train operators on robot-assisted ultrasonic testing procedures. To qualify for this position, you should have a Master's Degree in Metallurgy/NDT/Mechanical, ASNT-Level II/III or equivalent certifications in UT & PAUT, and 3-10 years of experience in Ultrasonic Testing. Strong technical skills in probe selection, frequency tuning, phased array beamforming, NDT software, and collaboration with software and control teams are essential. You should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent technical communication skills, and the willingness to travel for on-site deployments. This role offers a competitive salary, performance incentives, exposure to cutting-edge robotic and AI-driven NDT innovations, training & certification support, and opportunities to work on pioneering robotic NDT projects. You will work in a lab environment for hands-on testing and robotic system deployment, with flexible work hours based on project requirements.,
