Naval Architect

As a Naval Architect at Vikra Ocean Tech Pvt Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and development of marine vessels and offshore structures. Key Responsibilities: - Develop general arrangements, hull forms, and structural layouts for marine vessels. - Perform hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and stability analyses to ensure vessel safety. - Design propulsion, steering, and mooring systems for marine applications. - Create detailed drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Rhino, or relevant naval architecture software. - Ensure compliance with international standards such as IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and classification society regulations (ABS, DNV, BV, TASNEEF, etc.). - Prepare technical documentation and manage class approval submissions for projects. - Conduct surveys, inclining experiments, and sea trials for new and retrofitted vessels. - Develop and oversee project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports. - Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver successful projects. - Evaluate existing vessels and recommend improvements to enhance performance and safety. Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of naval architecture and marine engineering principles. - Proficiency in CAD software and specialized naval architecture design tools. - Knowledge of classification and maritime regulatory standards. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities to work collaboratively on projects.
