MYP Design Teacher

As an MYP Design Teacher, your role involves delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Design curriculum to students in Grades 6 to 10. You will guide students through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote creative problem-solving using design thinking and technological literacy. Your responsibilities include fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation in line with the IB philosophy. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP Design curriculum. - Incorporate the MYP Design Cycle stages: Inquiring and Analyzing, Developing Ideas, Creating the Solution, and Evaluating. - Utilize various teaching strategies and tools such as digital technologies, prototyping, and maker-space environments. - Guide students in interdisciplinary projects to promote creativity, collaboration, and real-world application of design principles. - Develop and evaluate individual and group projects based on MYP Design objectives and criteria. - Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing continuous feedback. - Maintain academic records and prepare students for internal and external assessments as per IB standards. - Create a positive and safe learning environment that encourages student ownership of the learning process. - Promote collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills among students. Professional Development & Collaboration: - Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and projects. - Engage in professional development activities related to IB MYP and Design education. - Stay informed about advancements in education technology and design thinking. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Design, Technology, Education, or a related field. - IB MYP Certification.,
