Lady Andal School is an authorized World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) by the International Baccalaureate (IB). We are a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme, aiming to extend ourselves as an IB Continuum World School. As a dedicated MYP Design Teacher at Lady Andal School, your role involves: - Designing and implementing engaging MYP Design lessons aligned with IB curriculum standards, focusing on creativity, problem-solving, and practical application. - Fostering a project-based learning environment for students to explore real-world design challenges and develop innovative solutions. - Designing diverse approaches for units of Inquiry that promote Attributes to Learning. - Implementing formative and summative assessments aligned with IB MYP assessment criteria. - Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a consistent and fair assessment approach across the MYP. - Ensuring alignment of all school policies and practices with the IB Standards and Practices. - Promoting a culture of Inclusion and Diversity among all stakeholders of the community. - Engaging in continuous professional development to stay informed about current trends in education. - Collaborating and networking with educators to share insights and enhance teaching practices. - Being an active advocate for Lady Andal School's vision and core aims. - Fostering a positive classroom culture that values inquiry, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding. - Participating actively in all events conducted by and in the school. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - Bachelors/Masters degree in the relevant field. - A bachelor's degree in Education will be an added benefit. - Proven experience as a high school Design teacher. - Demonstrated expertise in curriculum planning, assessment, and ATL integration. - Commitment to promoting international-mindedness and the IB learner profile. - Effective communication and collaboration skills. - Experience in an IB school would be an added benefit. - Being a subject expert in the required field. Please note: - Job location is in Chetpet, Chennai. This is an on-site job. - School timings are from 7.30 am to 3.00 pm. - A laptop will be provided for school use only.,
