Multi Property Executive Pastry Chef

The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall success of the daily pastry operations at JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa. You will showcase creative baking and decorating talents while leading the staff to prepare quality and consistent pastries for all areas. Your primary focus will be on continually improving guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget. As a manager, you will supervise all pastry areas to ensure the production of a consistent, high-quality product. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding and developing staff, ensuring sanitation and food standards are met, and overseeing all pastry food preparation areas. To qualify for this role, you should possess a high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, along with 2 years of relevant experience, will be considered. Your core work activities will include supervising and managing employees, coordinating pastry preparation activities, leading shifts, developing new ideas for the pastry kitchen, ensuring culinary standards are met, providing exceptional customer service, and managing human resource activities. You will also be involved in setting and supporting achievement of culinary goals, conducting training, and participating in relevant meetings.
