Job Description

As a Practice Manager at MuleSoft's Professional Services team, your role involves leading a team of technical architects and consultants in delivering MuleSoft solutions to customers. Your responsibilities include people leadership, career coaching, project oversight, and building the practice through internal initiatives. You will contribute to the technical practice business plan, develop methodology, create team enablement, onboard new architects, and recruit to expand the team. In this role, which is 50% billable, you will collaborate with customers and partners to address crucial business challenges using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. You will guide customer, partner, and MuleSoft technical teams through multi-phased delivery projects, influencing standards for development, governance, and operational life cycle. Your involvement as a key member of the cross-functional MuleSoft leadership team will require collaboration and alignment across Sales, Customer Success, Pre-Sales, and Product teams. To be successful in this role, you should have: - 12+ years of experience leading by example and as a player-coach - Background as a professional services leader with practice growth experience - Strong consulting background in a reputable system integrator firm or enterprise software vendor - Collaborative mindset and ability to gain trust across internal and external functional leaders - Experience architecting MuleSoft services integrations with understanding of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, configuration, deployment, API and integration security - Proven track record leading integration teams and architecting solutions within diverse technical teams - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical professionals - Desire for continuous learning of new technologies and involvement in projects pushing existing technology capabilities - Appreciation for operational excellence in bookings, utilization forecast, contract terms, etc. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent technical documentation skills - Experience managing people and projects in a matrixed environment - Ability to establish credibility quickly with engineers, motivate teams, and achieve results - Agile, proactive, comfortable with ambiguous specifications, and adept at prioritizing tasks - Knowledge of MuleSoft AI developments such as Mule AI Chain, Topic Center, API Catalog, MCP, Agentforce Connectors - Familiarity with AI & ML concepts, including predictive and generative AI, RAG, LLMs, and Agentic AI - Passion for continuous learning and experimentation with emerging AI technologies Desired Skills: - Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines - Knowledge of publish & subscribe integration design models - Proficiency in Jenkins and Nexus technologies - Experience with Salesforce products/platform technologies, especially Service Cloud applications - Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and take ownership of project delivery - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (Master's preferred) As a Practice Manager at MuleSoft's Professional Services team, your role involves leading a team of technical architects and consultants in delivering MuleSoft solutions to customers.
