As a MSSQL Database Administrator at Barclays, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects. Your role involves planning, budgeting, and ensuring agreed quality and governance standards. You will play a key role in spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation, and excellence to revolutionize the digital offerings for unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Experience in support/setup/configuration of SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022 - Hands-on experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery using technologies like AlwaysOn, Log-Shipping, and Replication - Proficient in T-SQL with extensive experience as a Production support SQL Server DBA in high volume environments - Expertise in database maintenance, troubleshooting, and solving database contention problems - Ability to understand and influence the high-level technical design of Database components - Knowledge of the ITIL framework, vocabulary, and best practices Qualifications Required: - Strong skills in designing and delivering platforms for hosting SQL Server at an enterprise scale - Experience working in highly regulated environments and associated processes and tools - Extensive expertise in performance tuning for both query and server optimization Additional Details: This role is based in Chennai. Purpose of the role: Your main purpose will be to effectively monitor and maintain the bank's critical technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues while minimizing disruptions to operations.
