MSSQL Database Administrator

As a professional mid-level Database Administrator (DBA) with 5-7 years of experience in MSSQL, your role as an L3 DBA will involve keeping the database up and running smoothly 24/7. Your main responsibility will be to ensure a seamless flow of information throughout the company, focusing on both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users. Knowledge of Open Source databases will be preferred. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform core MS SQL Server Administration tasks. - Build high availability and quality database systems based on each application's role. - Design and implement databases to meet end users" information needs. - Ensure DB security, including encryption, data in transit, and secure connections between applications and the DB. - Define users, enable data distribution to the right users in the appropriate format, and timely manner. - Implement high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data. - Minimize database downtime, manage parameters to provide fast query responses. - Enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards. - Conduct tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity. - Monitor database performance, make necessary changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven working experience as a Database Administrator in MSSQL. - Proficiency in open-source databases like MySQL/Postgres. - Hands-on experience with database standards, end-user applications, data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL. - Familiarity with database design, documentation, coding, and DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools. - Knowledge of programming languages. - Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking. - An engineering degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
