Job Title: Mould Technician

Location: Khed shivapur
Reports To: Production/Shift Supervisor or Tool Room Manager

Role Overview:

The Mould Technician is responsible for efficient mould setup, troubleshooting, process setting, and ensuring smooth production operations. This role involves timely mould changes, material handling, and coordination to meet production targets with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:✅ 1. Mould Setup & Changing

• Install, remove, and change moulds as per production requirements.
• Ensure proper alignment, clamping, and connections during mould setup.
• Conduct pre- and post-setup inspections.

✅ 2. Process Setting

• Set machine parameters according to product specifications.
• Optimize cycle times, quality standards, and reduce rejection rates.
• Assist in validation of mould trials and sample runs.

✅ 3. Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve moulding defects such as flash, short shot, sink marks, burns, etc.
• Attend breakdowns promptly to minimize machine downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance/tool room teams for repairs.

✅ 4. Production Planning & Coordination

• Support production planning by preparing machines and moulds in advance.
• Work with supervisors to meet shift targets and deadlines.
• Monitor job priorities and update production status.

✅ 5. Material Handling

• Ensure correct material loading as per job order.
• Monitor material mixing, drying, and supply to machines.
• Prevent material wastage and contamination.

✅ 6. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure safety protocols during mould changes and machine operation.
• Maintain quality standards in each batch produced.

Qualifications & Experience (Customizable):

• ITI/Diploma in Plastics, Mechanical, Tool & Die, or relevant field
• 2–5 years’ experience as Mould Technician / Process Technician
• Experience with injection moulding machines preferred
