Job Overview

We are looking for a Detail-Oriented DD Underwriter with hands-on experience in US Residential Mortgage underwriting, specifically focusing on the 4Cs (Credit, Capacity, Capital, Collateral). The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of US mortgage guidelines, and the ability to independently review and underwrite loan files with accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Due Diligence (DD) underwriting for US Residential Mortgage loan files
• Analyze borrower profiles based on Credit, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral (4Cs)
• Review and evaluate income, assets, liabilities, credit reports, and property documents
• Ensure compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and investor guidelines
• Identify, document, and clear underwriting conditions efficiently
• Maintain high accuracy, quality, and turnaround time (TAT) standards
• Communicate effectively with processors, quality teams, and stakeholders
• Handle multiple loan files simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months to 3+ years of experience in US Mortgage Underwriting / Due Diligence
• Strong knowledge of US Residential Mortgage underwriting guidelines
• Hands-on experience with 4Cs analysis
• Familiarity with AUS findings (DU / LP)
• Good understanding of credit reports, income calculations, and asset validation
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in WFH or hybrid mortgage operations
• Exposure to quality control or investor review processes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
