Job Description

As a MongoDB Database Administrator with 10-15 years of experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the MongoDB Administration tasks. Your role will involve a deep understanding of DB schema design, performance tuning, and capacity planning. You will need to have operational experience with MongoDB Data Modeling and be able to optimize query performance effectively. Your key responsibilities will include configuring and monitoring MongoDB instances, setting up MongoDB replica sets with members and an arbiter, as well as managing MongoDB Oplog and journals. You will also be required to configure, manage, and troubleshoot MongoDB Sharded clusters. In case of any issues with the database environments, such as performance, replication, or operational issues, you will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve them efficiently. Establishing and maintaining backup, restore, and recovery processes will be crucial aspects of your role. You will also need to implement and maintain MongoDB OPS Manager/Cloud Manager and design and implement HA/DR policies. Proficiency in using MongoDB tools like mongostat, mongotop, mongoexport, mongoimport, mongodump, mongorestore, etc., will be essential. Database Security management and User Management will also be within your scope of work. Your expertise in performance tuning and optimization, utilizing native monitoring and troubleshooting tools, will be highly valued. Additionally, knowledge of Linux system administration skills will be beneficial in this role. Overall, your role as a MongoDB Database Administrator will require a strong foundation in MongoDB Administration, performance tuning, capacity planning, and database security management. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, along with your proficiency in using MongoDB tools and Linux system administration skills, will be key to ensuring the smooth operation of MongoDB environments.,
