Modern Trade Specialist

You will be responsible for managing National and Regional Modern Trade Retailers in India, based in Bangalore, as a Modern Trade Specialist for Anker Innovations. Your main role will involve identifying new business opportunities, developing existing channels, creating business plans, hitting targets and KPIs, generating leads, meeting with customers/clients/retailers, carrying out sales forecasts and analysis, planning promotional strategies, liaising with different departments, improving business operations, attending industry events, and driving sales hygiene metrics like planogram compliance and merchandising standards. Key Responsibilities: - Identify new business opportunities for all Anker brands - Develop existing channels, retailers, telco, resellers, B2B, etc. - Create business plans for your accounts - Hit targets and KPIs on a monthly basis - Generate leads and cold call prospective customers - Meet with customers/clients/retailers face to face / via VC / via Phone - Think strategically and set relevant aims and objectives for long-term business development - Carry out sales forecasts/pipeline analysis and present findings internally - Work strategically with distribution partners to meet customers" demands - Discuss and plan promotional strategy/budgeting with the marketing department - Liaise with finance, warehousing, and logistics departments - Seek ways to improve business operations - Attend seminars, conferences, and events as required - Drive sales hygiene metrics like planogram compliance and merchandising standards Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience in Business development and Key Accounts Management in the Retail - consumer electronics industry - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Social team player - Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Excel, etc. - Flexible and creative - Prepared to travel on a regular basis Work Environment: - Bangalore, India based role - Occasional travel for industry events or company meetings may be required Please note that the job is full-time and contractual/temporary in nature.
