Mobile Developers - Android

Role Overview: You will be part of an agile team focusing on building meaningful software solutions by working on technically challenging problems. The team is looking for both senior and junior positions to join and contribute to crafting intelligent solutions for complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities: - Work on technically challenging problems with a talented team - Write code that is easy to read, test, and maintain - Participate in building prototypes and showcasing products - Engage in the larger tech community/groups as a speaker and represent at conferences - Work with the client and the team to determine requirements and delivery strategies - Leverage the capabilities of the Android platform following guidelines and development patterns - Provide technical mobile leadership within the team - Deliver software using agile/XP technical practices - Automate build and Play Store deployment - Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills - Mentor client team members and advocate agile practices - Help improve the team and client's delivery capabilities Qualification Required: - Good understanding of UI design principles and platform specifics as per Google's Material Design Guidelines - Experience working with Jetpack, Architecture Components, and Dagger - Strong understanding and knowledge of key Android frameworks and technologies - Effective at working in both OOP and FP programming styles in Kotlin - Practical understanding of Android development architectures and principles on complex applications - Understanding of server-side APIs, HTTP, and RESTful services with a thin-client style approach - Knowledge of Android Java Runtime memory management model for implementing memory-efficient code - Understanding of agile development principles and approaches effective in different contexts - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with globally distributed teams and client team members Additional Details: The company is looking for individuals who have experience with building and running full end-to-end app CI/CD pipelines, working with Android Voice Access and other assistive technologies, experience with Android TV, Wear OS, or Chrome OS, concurrent/asynchronous programming with Kotlin coroutines, and developing and debugging apps in Java or Kotlin.
