Fam is India's first payments app for everyone above 11 FamApp helps make online and offline payments through UPI and FamCard We are on a mission to raise a new, financially aware generation, and drive 250 million+ youngest users in India to kickstart their financial journey super early in their life, Founded in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni, Fam is backed by some of the most respected investors around the world like Elevation Capital, Y-Combinator, Peak XV (Sequoia Capital) India, Venture Highway, Global Founders Capital and the likes of Kunal Shah, Amrish Rao as angel investors, About This Role Were on the lookout for a Mobile Architect whos excited to shape the future of a product used by over 10 million teens (and growing every day!), In this role, youll play a key part in designing the mobile architecture that powers our iOS and Android apps ? working closely with our founders and amazing cross-functional teams Youll have the freedom to make big technical decisions, guide the direction of our mobile stack, and build systems that scale beautifully as we grow, If youre passionate about clean architecture, love mentoring engineers, and want your work to have a real impact ? wed love to meet you, On the Job Define and own the mobile architecture vision across Mobile apps Drive modularisation, reusability, and platform components to speed up feature delivery Establish standards for code quality, security, performance, and scalability in mobile Partner with Product & Design to ensure seamless UX at scale Guide teams in debugging, optimising, and scaling mobile apps for millions of users Work with Backend & Platform teams to define mobile-friendly APIs, caching, and sync strategies Mentor Tech Leads & Senior Engineers, ensuring architectural consistency across squad Must-haves (Min Qualifications) Deep expertise in mobile system architecture and design patterns (MVI, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Redux, etc,) Proven experience in building consumer-scale apps with 10M+ users, high DAUs, low-latency, and high reliability Strong command over Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development Experience in mobile platform and tooling including modularization, build systems, CI/CD for mobile, and app performance monitoring Deep understanding of networking, caching, offline-first design, and API design for mobile clients Experience with scaling complex design systems while maintaining performance Hands-on experience with observability, performance optimization, and crash-free engineering Good to have Experience in fintech, payments, or high-scale transactional apps Hands-on experience with cross-platform solutions such as Flutter, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, or SwiftUI Prior experience in app security and compliance, including PCI DSS, encryption, secure storage, and fraud detection Contributions to open-source mobile frameworks Why join us Lead the architecture of apps used by millions of users daily Opportunity to solve unique challenges in scalable fintech mobile systems, including security, reliability, offline capabilities, and fraud prevention Define and build shared frameworks and mobile platforms that support multiple squads Collaborate directly with founders and engineering leadership to shape a mobile-first user experience Take ownership of end-to-end mobile excellence in a high-visibility, high-impact role Perks That Go Beyond the Paycheck Relocation assistance to make your move seamless Free office meals (lunch & dinner) Generous leave policy, including birthday leave, period leave, paternity and maternity support, and more Salary advance and loan policies for any financial help Quarterly rewards and recognition programs, and a referral program with great incentives Access the latest gadgets and tools Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family, mental health support Tax benefits with options like food coupons, phone allowances, car/device leasing Retirement perks like PF contribution, leave encashment and gratuity Heres all the tea on FamApp ???
