Network Solution Design
- Design resilient, multi-tier network architectures using VPCs, subnets, and cloud-native firewalls; include DMZs for public-facing services, private subnets for sensitive workloads, and bastion hosts for remote access.
- Define network segmentation, performance requirements, and redundancy, along with automated configuration and monitoring using native cloud tools
Security Solution Design
- Architect end-to-end encryption for data at rest and in transit, defining technical standards and selecting managed services with built-in encryption and auto-patching.
- Integrate Identity and Access Management at the design phase, implementing least privilege and Zero Trust principles, federated identity, multi-factor authentication, and logical segregation of roles.
- Establish architectural guardrails: detailed logging, security monitoring, and compliance mapping (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS), ensuring auditability and minimal disruption
Backup & Storage Solution Design
- Architect backup and retention policies for all data and workloads, selecting appropriate storage classes, scheduling automated snapshots, and ensuring compliance via policy enforcement.
- Implement continuous data replication for critical datasets using synchronous or asynchronous methods; design for geo-redundancy to protect against local disasters.
- Select and configure cloud-native or multi-cloud storage solutions (object, block, file) based on scalability, performance, and cost, with monitoring for backup success and integrity.
Disaster Recovery (DR) Solution Design
- Establish RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) metrics for critical workloads as part of architectural planning.
- Design automated failover solutions and orchestrated DR runbooks utilize cloud-native or multi-cloud DR tools that provide instant failover and rapid recovery.
- Build geo-redundant, multi-zone/multi-region architectures to ensure high availability and minimal business disruption during emergencies.
Document and regularly test DR plans, adapting to business evolution and new threats for continued effectiveness
