About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Microbiologist Intern to join our Quality team at Hill Farm Organics. This internship provides hands-on laboratory experience in microbiological testing, media preparation, plating techniques, and ensuring food safety standards across our product lines.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparation of various microbiological media and reagents
• Perform basic plating, streaking, dilution, and enumeration techniques
• Conduct routine microbiological analysis of raw materials, water, and finished products
• Support sterility checks, environmental monitoring, and hygiene audits
• Maintain lab records, documentation, and follow SOPs
• Perform sample handling, labeling, storage, and disposal as per safety guidelines
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocols
• RequirementsPursuing or completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field
• Basic knowledge of:

-Microbiological media preparation

-Plating and culturing techniques

-Aseptic handling and lab hygiene practices

• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced lab environment
• Good documentation and communication skills
