Job Description

A microbiologist studies microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, and fungi to conduct research, analyze samples, and develop solutions for various challenges in healthcare, industry, and the environment. Key responsibilities include performing lab tests, isolating and identifying microbes, ensuring safety protocols, and documenting findings, while skills like analytical thinking and attention to detail are essential. Core duties and responsibilities

Conduct research and experiments:
Study the life processes and effects of microorganisms on humans, animals, plants, and the environment.

Perform laboratory analysis:
Test samples (clinical, food, water, pharmaceutical) for contamination, infections, or other purposes.

Isolate and identify microorganisms:
Use techniques to grow, identify, and classify bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.

Develop and optimize methods:
Improve and create new microbial culture techniques, diagnostic tests, and molecular methods.

Monitor and ensure quality:
Track microbial growth and resistance patterns, and develop quality control processes.

Ensure safety and compliance:
Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, biosafety regulations, and industry standards.

Document and report findings:
