Job Description

Backend Developer

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • You're a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through from conception to completion.
  • You will "own" features/tasks and are responsible for working with the team in scoping development and appropriate testing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend and product teams to translate user needs into technical solutions, ensuring a cohesive and smooth user experience.
  • Create documentation for future reference and support using Confluence.
  • Apply technical expertise to challenging development problems. 

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years

    of experience building enterprise-grade applications using 

    Node.js.

  • Experience with frontend development using 

    JavaScript

    is a major plus.
  • Should have experience building back-end API's using Node.js and 

    Express.js

    .
  • Experience with relational databases is mandatory, preferably using 

    PostgreSQL

    or

    MySQL

    .
  • Experience with cloud is a plus, preferably 

    AWS.

  • Proficiency in microservices is a plus.

Special Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Functional knowledge in the Finance domain will be an added advantage.
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
  • Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members, with a strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving benchmarks.
