Merchandising Specialist - Senior Associate / Team Leader

Candidate Role & Responsibilities :

• 3-8 Years experience in Category Specialist - Merchandising (with Buyer Assistance) plays a key role in supporting the execution of category strategies, assortment planning, product lifecycle management, and supplier coordination.
• This role assists buyers in operational and analytical tasks and ensures that merchandise plans align with financial targets and customer demand, contributing to an optimized in-store and online experience in the retail sector.
• Strong retail KPI acumen with ability to dive deep with Planning and Allocation
• Strong creative eye with ability to partner closely with Design on product excellence
• Passion about the retail industry Innovation obsessed with a focus on delivering whats next in retail for consumers Experience managing and developing direct reports in an environment that embraces individual momentum
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and digitally Category Merchandising Execution
• Support the development and execution of merchandise plans for assigned categories.
• Assist in seasonal range planning, assortment optimization, and visual merchandising alignment.
• Analyse product performance to recommend adjustments to mix, pricing, and placement.
• Buyer Assistance Provide day-to-day operational support to Buyers and Category Managers who are based in Onshore.
• Assist in product setup, item creation, cost entry, and vendor onboarding in merchandising systems.
• Support in developing and maintaining seasonal line sheets and assortment plans.
• Inventory & Assortment Management Monitor stock levels, sell-through rates, and suggest reorders or markdowns based on performance.
• Collaborate with planning teams to manage stock allocations and replenishment strategies. Identify slow-moving or out-of-stock products and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Merchandising Analytics & Reporting Generate reports on category performance (sales, margins, inventory health).
• Flexible working in night shifts.
