As the Product Strategy Manager for an e-commerce platform, your primary responsibility will be to devise and implement a comprehensive product strategy that is aligned with the brand's positioning and target audience. This will involve identifying product categories, ensuring the right mix of products to cater to customer preferences and market trends, as well as forecasting demand and ensuring timely availability of products. You will be responsible for developing the merchandising plan and calendar, detailing channel-specific collections to be launched in alignment with market trends. This includes deciding which collections to retain or discontinue, creating activation plans, and setting price points that are aligned with business targets. In addition, you will be required to oversee the regular offers on the platform and secure additional offers such as best deals. Conducting market research to gain customer and competitor insights and identify opportunities in the online jewellery space will also be part of your role. Analyzing sales data to inform demand planning decisions, including identifying monthly sales variances, stock performance, sell-through rates, category sales contributions, and bestsellers online, will be crucial. You will also need to create mid-funnel dashboards with reporting at the price band and category levels to drive conversions and recommend which categories to prioritize. Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting periodic cancellation and returns analysis, as well as ideating and executing photo shoots based on omni-channel requirements. Close collaboration with the brand team on shoots and working closely with the factory team to ensure on-time deliveries will be essential. To excel in this role, you should possess good analytical skills and have a solid understanding of demand planning and forecasting. Previous experience in website catalogue management, including overseeing photoshoots and imagery for the website, will be advantageous.
