Job Title: Merchandiser Modern Gold Department: Product Development Location: Seepz, Andheri, Mumbai Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated and trend-savvy Merchandiser Modern Gold to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in gold jewelry merchandising, especially in modern and plain gold collections, with exposure to both domestic and export markets (domestic preferred). This role requires someone with strong design sensibilities, market awareness, and the ability to manage multiple product lines under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Plan, develop, and manage product lines for modern gold jewelry, focusing on lightweight, minimalist, modular, and fusion designs. Stay updated on fashion and lifestyle trends to influence seasonal and core collections. Collaborate closely with the design, CAD, and production teams to turn concepts into commercially viable products. Apply new technologies and innovations to enhance product development and design processes. Coordinate product sampling, approvals, costing, and timelines across teams and vendors. Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to inform merchandising strategies. Ensure smooth communication and follow-up with clients, including buying houses and retail partners, for both domestic and export markets. Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and development status in ERP systems and tracking tools. Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor degree or diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Jewelry Design, Business, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in jewelry merchandising, ideally within gold or contemporary jewelry lines. Deep understanding of gold jewelry production techniques and modern design aesthetics. Familiarity with lightweight, minimalist, modular, and fusion jewelry trends. Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and product lifecycle management tools. Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to handle multiple collections simultaneously. A keen eye for detail, visual aesthetics, and current consumer preferences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Preferred Attributes: Prior experience working in both domestic and export jewelry markets, with a strong focus on domestic consumer trends. Exposure to or interest in technology-led product design and innovation in gold jewelry. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality and creativity.
