Role & res Role Overview The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the complete production accounts and inventory function for the Factory. This includes accurate accounting and control of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods stock, ensuring minimal gross loss, and maintaining inventory within targeted value levels. The role demands a strong background in jewelry inventory management, with proven expertise in handling high-value materials and precision-driven processes. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Stock Management • Maintain accurate and real-time accounting of raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory. • Ensure compliance with stock management procedures, including GRN, issue, consumption, and stock reconciliation. • Monitor and maintain inventory at target value levels as per business requirements. • Conduct monthly and periodic stock audits, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions. • Track and report on gross loss, ensuring it is maintained within the targeted percentage. Production Accounts Management • Oversee production accounting processes to ensure accuracy in material consumption and yield reporting. • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of production batches. • Implement checks and controls to prevent pilferage, loss, or misuse of inventory. Process Control & Compliance • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory compliance, and industry best practices in stock management. • Develop SOPs for inventory handling, movement, and documentation, ensuring all staff follow them. • Collaborate with auditors for inventory verification and compliance checks. Reporting & Analysis • Prepare and present MIS reports on inventory status, stock turns, gross loss trends, and material aging. • Analyze inventory data to identify optimization opportunities and reduce holding costs. • Provide insights to management for production planning and procurement decisionmaking. Team Leadership & Coordination • Lead and mentor the inventory control team, ensuring high accuracy and accountability. • Coordinate with production, procurement, finance, and quality departments to streamline material flow. Qualifications & Experience • Graduate or Masters degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field. • Experience: 10–15 years in jewelry inventory management, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity. • In-depth knowledge of diamond jewelry manufacturing processes, inventory control methods, and gross loss management. • Strong skills in ERP systems and MS Excel; familiarity with jewelry-specific inventory software preferred.
