Merchandiser (HOME TEXTILES)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandiser with a strong background in home textiles to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in product categories like cushion covers, rugs, carpets, throws, curtains, and other soft furnishings. The candidate will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle—from development to delivery—while coordinating with buyers, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end merchandising for home furnishing products (e.g., cushion covers, rugs, carpets, throws, curtains, etc.)
• Coordinate with buyers, design teams, and production units to ensure timely development and delivery of samples and bulk orders
• Handle buyer communications, order placements, T&A (Time & Action) calendar, and follow-ups
• Assist in product development and sourcing of new materials, techniques, and vendors
• Conduct costings and price negotiations with vendors/suppliers
• Monitor production timelines, quality control, and shipment schedules
• Prepare tech packs, product specs, and manage sampling processes
• Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards
• Analyze market trends and competitor products to suggest improvements or new product ideas
• Maintain and update internal merchandising reports and order tracking sheets

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Textile Designing, Apparel Merchandising, or related field
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in home furnishings/textiles merchandising
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, weaving techniques, embroidery, dyeing, and finishes relevant to home décor products
• Experience dealing with international buyers (especially from the US, UK, or EU markets) is preferred
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP systems or PLM tools is a plus
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of export documentation and compliance for international markets
• Familiarity with sustainability and eco-friendly practices in home textiles
• Exposure to both traditional and modern textile techniques
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
