GM MEP

Role & responsibilities

Lead and manage the MEP department, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and operational oversight.
Plan, develop, and implement MEP strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with project goals.
Supervise the complete lifecycle of MEP worksdesign, tendering, execution, and commissioningfor multiple projects.
Ensure MEP designs and installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and project requirements.
Monitor MEP project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordinate closely with project managers, architects, structural engineers, and consultants for integrated project delivery.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement and installation of MEP components.
Act as the primary escalation point for MEP-related queries, issues, and resolutions.
Review and approve MEP shop drawings, technical submittals, BOQs, and as-built documentation.
Conduct routine site visits to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to design intent.
Establish and implement robust quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures for MEP works.
Prepare and manage detailed MEP budgets and reports, ensuring effective cost control and resource planning.
Identify value engineering opportunities to enhance performance and reduce project costs.
Build and nurture professional relationships with clients, consultants, statutory bodies, and contractors.
Provide regular updates and presentations to senior management on project progress, challenges, and risk mitigation strategies.
