Job Summary:

MEP (Mechanical) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management and Coordination:

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of the project from concept to completion, ensuring that all phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems into the overall building design.
  
• Review and monitor the progress of mechanical works and ensure compliance with the approved project specifications and codes.
  
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and design documents.
  

• Design and Engineering:

• Oversee the design of mechanical systems such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
  
• Ensure that designs comply with all relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes).
  
• Provide technical expertise to resolve design challenges during the project lifecycle.
  
• Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and design modifications.
  

• Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure that mechanical systems are installed and tested as per the design specifications and industry standards.
  
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure quality control.
  
• Review test results and commissioning documentation to ensure systems operate efficiently.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  

• Experience:

• 7-12 years of experience in MEP engineering, with at least 5 years in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) role.
  
• Proven experience in managing mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects (commercial, residential, industrial).
  
• Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
