Mep Electrical Design Engineer

Job Location : Pune / Ahmedabad / Delhi

Position : Electrical Engineer

Experience : 7 to 12 years

Qualification: B.E or B. Tech. (Electrical)

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Building services engineering experience from a design consultancy environment or a contractor with design & built environment. Any experience working on

   US based projects

   will be an added advantage.
2. Good knowledge of engineering calculations like Equipment & Switchgear sizing, Cable sizing, voltage drop, earthing calculation etc.
3. Experience on various

   Electrical calculation

   and services layout like:

• Lighting Calculation for Normal, Emergency using AGI 32, DIALUX, RELUX or equivalent software tools & Daylighting calculations

  arthing / Grounding Designing and Lightning Protection

• Electrical load calculations
• Panel Schedules, DB Schedules, Luminary Schedules etc

1. Experience on

   ELV system Designs

   like FAPA, CCTV, Access Control, Data & telephone etc.
2. Understanding of ICT system & requirements
3. Understanding of Green/Solar PV / Sustainability requirements
4. Aware with Various Codes & Standards like BS codes, NEC/CIBSE/UK Building Regulation Code, NBC.
5. Skills required on 2D & 3D drafting tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks Engineers with experience in

   Autodesk Revit MEP

   and Autodesk Navisworks
6. Experience on modelling of electrical & ELV services using AutoCAD & Revit.
7. Experience with Various Designing software like

   Amtech/ ETAP/ Electrical OM

   for

   power distribution design & electrical studies

   like load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, Harmonic analysis, Arc flash analysis, discrimination studies etc will be added advantage
8. Experience on Tender Specification and BOQ
9. Worked on diff. building sectors residential, commercial, institutional (schools, colleges), healthcare (hospitals), transportation (airports, bus stations, metro stations), data centres etc.
10. Good understanding of

    coordination between different MEPF services

    as well as Architectural & Structural design from engineering & spatial coordination point of view.
11. Experience in review and QA/QC of 3D models, Drawings etc.
12. Experience of working on Common data environments like BLUEBEAM, BIM 360, Drop Box, ProjectWise (collaborative tools to work on a model)
13. Should have ability to perform under time pressure and ready to adapt project requirement changes with a positive attitude
14. Should have good oral and written communication skills.
15. Should be self-motivated, proactive and good team player.

Responsibilities :

1. Study the project Specification & other technical documents.
2. Input data review & prepare RFIs for insufficient data etc.
3. Electrical & ELV Designing as per project scope
4. Designing of Electrical services and providing inputs to detailing /BIM team.
5. Coordination of Electrical services with all other trade services such as Architecture, Structure, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection etc.
6. Participate in Team meetings & Client meetings.
7. Review & QAQC of project Deliverables.
