MEP Designer Engineer (Electrical)

Role Overview: As an MEP Designer (Electrical) at our company located in Kolkata (Lake Town), you will play a crucial role in designing electrical systems for various projects. Your primary responsibilities will include developing detailed electrical designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using CAD software. - Prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules. - Select electrical equipment and materials in accordance with project specifications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment. - Conduct occasional site visits for inspections, installation supervision, and commissioning support. - Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and maintain records of design changes. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - 3+ years of experience in electrical design engineering. - Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar. - Strong understanding of electrical codes like IEC, NEC, or equivalent. - Experience in power distribution, lighting, and control systems design. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the construction, industrial, or energy sectors. - Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Primavera. - Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
