MEP Designer Engineer (Electrical)

The company is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer (Electrical) to join their team in Kolkata (Lake Town). As a Design Engineer (Electrical), you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Your role will involve developing detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using CAD software. You will also be required to prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules, as well as select electrical equipment and materials while ensuring compliance with project specifications. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and project management, to provide technical support and resolve design-related queries during construction. Occasional site visits will be necessary for inspections, installation supervision, and commissioning support, where you will ensure proper documentation and reporting. Furthermore, you will prepare technical reports, design documentation, and as-built drawings, while maintaining records of design changes and site observations. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - 3+ years of experience in electrical design engineering. - Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar). - Solid understanding of electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, or equivalent). - Experience in power distribution, lighting, and control systems design. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. - Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the construction, industrial, or energy sectors. - Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). - Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
