Medical Transcriptionist

As a Medical Transcriptionist at KIDS Hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, your role will involve accurately transcribing dictated recordings by doctors and healthcare professionals into various clinical documents such as discharge summaries, operative notes, and medical histories. You will be responsible for ensuring the correct use of medical terminology, grammar, and formatting in reports, as well as editing and proofreading transcriptions for accuracy and completeness. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will coordinate with doctors and nurses to clarify unclear dictations, ensure timely completion of discharge summaries, and maintain proper record-keeping in compliance with MRD and NABH/NABL requirements. Your proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and data entry software, along with a typing speed of 60-80 WPM, will be essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Listen to dictated recordings and transcribe them accurately into clinical documents - Ensure correct use of medical terminology, grammar, and formatting - Edit and proofread transcriptions for accuracy and completeness - Maintain patient confidentiality and handle medical information securely - Coordinate with healthcare professionals to clarify unclear dictations - Ensure timely completion of discharge summaries - Maintain proper record-keeping in compliance with MRD and NABH/NABL requirements - Assist MRD staff in organizing, updating, and archiving patient records - Stay updated with medical terminology, procedures, and hospital documentation standards Qualifications Required: - Minimum qualification: +2 or Graduate in any stream - Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and data entry software - Typing speed of 60-80 WPM with high accuracy - Proficiency in medical terminology and hospital documentation - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism In this role, you will benefit from paid sick time, paid time off, and Provident Fund.
