Medical Transcriptionist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical reports dictated by physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring completeness, clarity, and compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Listen to and accurately transcribe audio recordings of patient histories, consultations, diagnostic reports, operative notes, discharge summaries, and other medical documents.
• Review and edit transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and medical terminology correctness.
• Ensure all documentation complies with hospital guidelines, confidentiality norms, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in dictations and seek clarification when needed.
• Maintain updated knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Enter and format reports into the hospital’s EMR/HIS system as required.
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets while maintaining high-quality output.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA/medical data privacy norms.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff for clarifications and smooth workflow.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate in any discipline; certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist (hospital experience preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation.
• Strong listening, typing, and proofreading skills with high speed and accuracy.
• Proficiency in transcription software, EMR systems, and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and confidentiality standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,608.56 - ₹32,989.18 per month
