Job Description

Job Summary

The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies within an assigned territory. The role involves achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring effective market coverage.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Product Promotion

  • Promote and detail company products to doctors and healthcare professionals.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Ensure effective product visibility and placement at pharmacies.

2. Territory & Customer Management

  • Plan and execute daily doctor calls and chemist visits.
  • Maintain and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities and gather market intelligence.

3. Relationship Building

  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff.
  • Conduct doctor meetings, CMEs, and chemist awareness programs as needed.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Submit daily work reports (DCR), secondary sales updates, and activity reports.
  • Use SFA/Saneforce or company CRM tools for accurate reporting.
  • Maintain records of samples and promotional material distribution.

5. Product Knowledge & Training

  • Gain thorough knowledge of company products and therapeutic areas.
  • Stay updated on competitor products and market trends.
  • Attend training programs and refreshers when instructed.

6. Compliance & Professional Conduct

  • Follow company SOPs, ethical marketing practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain professionalism during fieldwork and customer interactions.

Skills & QualificationsEducational Qualification

  • Any graduation (Science/Pharmacy background preferred but not mandatory).

Core Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
  • Good time and territory management.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, CRM apps).

Personal Attributes

  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and disciplined.
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle field challenges.

Experience

  • 0–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Freshers with interest in sales can also apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
