## **Job Description – Medical Representative (MR)**

### **Position Summary**

A Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to doctors, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals. The role involves building strong relationships with healthcare providers, increasing product awareness, and achieving sales targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

* Schedule and conduct regular meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.

* Achieve assigned sales targets and objectives within the designated territory.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and institutions.

* Provide accurate information about the company’s products, their benefits, and correct usage.

* Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.

* Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, workshops, and promotional events.

* Ensure timely reporting of daily calls, sales activities, and expenses.

* Stay updated with medical and pharmaceutical knowledge to effectively answer queries.

* Follow ethical practices and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

### **Qualifications & Skills**

* Bachelor’s degree in **Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or any related field** (preferred).

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to build trust and influence healthcare professionals.

* Self-motivated with good negotiation and persuasion abilities.

* Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.

* Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, reporting tools).

* Prior sales experience in pharma/healthcare industry (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles).

### **Work Environment**

* Field-based role with frequent travel to clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies.

* Flexible working hours depending on doctor availability.

* Regular reporting to Area Sales Manager or Regional Manager.

### **Performance Indicators (KPIs)**

* Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets.

* Number of doctor calls/visits per day.

* Prescription generation and market share growth.

* Customer relationship quality and feedback.

* Participation in CME/programs organized.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,866.75 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
