Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology

As a Radiation Physicist working in the Support Staff and Tech department in Mumbai, your primary responsibilities include: - Planning radiation treatments for cancer patients and performing dose calculations. - Ensuring accurate measurement of radiation output from sources used in cancer therapy and conducting patient dosimetry as needed. - Investigating equipment performance, organizing quality control practices, designing radiation installations, and implementing controls for medical radiation hazards. - Taking responsibility for radiation safety by designing shields for treatment rooms, ensuring safe operation of teletherapy machines, and performing machine acceptance testing. - Collaborating with Senior Physicists, Medical Doctors, and CT Technicians to provide guidance in treatment planning and assist in developing new treatment techniques. - Maintaining required records, reports, and files, as well as collecting necessary statistics. - Reporting all safety aspects, equipment-related issues, and mishaps to the Head of Department promptly. - Participating in academic activities within the department and organization. - Contributing to the Quality Initiative Improvement and protocols within the department and organization.
